Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor as well as a producer, director and educator, playwright as well as Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton and is being the daughter of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot ex-pat" that is originally from Britain.
